About Us
El Fant is an independent specialty café and bar in the heart of Helsinki, ranked 5th in Finland by Coffee Week and 3rd by European Coffee Trip.
We serve carefully selected specialty coffees from Finnish and international roasters, with a rotating selection of beans for espresso and hand-brewed filter coffee. Find a new favourite to enjoy here or take a bag home.
Our kitchen serves seasonal lunches, daily salads and sourdough toasts, with weekly specials following a three-week rotation. There’s always something sweet, too, from our much-loved carrot cake to other house-made treats.
Coffee brings people through our doors, and music, art and good company give them reasons to stay. Our monthly live jazz nights and open jam sessions bring musicians and listeners together in a warm, welcoming space.

Our First House Espresso Blend
El Fant has created its first espresso blend, brought to life together with Inka Paahtimo in Helsinki. Washed coffees from Peru and Costa Rica. Medium dark, smooth, lightly chocolatey. 100% Arabica. Balanced and warm, the way we like it.
Available as espresso at El Fant Café & Bar and in bags to take home.
